Cowl repair

I am in the process of fixing my 93 mustang. The hood came up and smashed the windshield and the metal cowl piece holding the wiper motor. It looks like it is spot welded. Or is this piece crimped? I was wondering if anyone knows the proper way to remove it. I am going to get one off a wrecked car to replace it and would like to know the proper way.

Thank You

Mine was that way from a previous owner and has a bad bondo job there... I've been told it has to be cut and a new piece welded in, but I'm no body man either.

So ummm subscribing as well I guess

the winshield would need to be removed, front fenders, winshield wiper motor and arms and all the spot welds drilled out and the aligned and plug welded back in and winshield reinstalled!!or u could find a body shop just to pull the dent out and u could finish straightning it with filler. they would grind all the paint out of the crease and weld studs with a stud gun used for pulling dents and use a slide hammer to pull the metal out then u could wipe a thin coat of filler over alot easier than replacing the panel
