Cracked Fog Lights!!

well, noticed today one of my 7000K Krypton gas fog lights was burned out... so, I took off the casing and noticed it was cracked... I assume from the heat. So, I can't eppoxy the case because the crack is under the mounting bracket, so I need new a new light housing.

These look good, anyone bought these before? do I need to transfer anything to them to make them fit right?

I got one of those. It was fine. You could tell it was slightly below the original one in "weight" and "feel", but for $20 it is fine. Mine has been in for several months now. Just take the old one off the bracket and replace it with the new one.

I sprayed the black area with rubberized undercoating.

why ruberizing undercoating? does that help it not to crack? I was just going to coat the entire thing w/ 24hr eppoxy...

Who knows?
I read where someone else did it, it was quick and easy, so I said "why not" and did it. By the feel of it, it seems like it will help resist debris, water and abosorb a little shock!

can I get some of that ruberized coating at the local schucks/NAPA? and how much was it?

I got mine at Walmart, in the Auto section where the paints and body sandpapers are. I dont even think it was more than $3.00. And I barely used it. \

Just be careful and hold that sucker a good 12" from the work, and tape everything you dont want to get sprayed!
