I have noticed that almost all 96-98+ Gts with the plastic manifold have had it cracked and such and had to buy a new part that is 300-500 dollars +labor new.
I mean this is a terrible thing for ford to do, clearly they new they did something wrong because I believe in 01 they stopped making the front part of the manifold plastic. Not to mention many of the 96-98 ones crack in other places.
I really think we need to get together and do something about this, get organized and make ford realise that their loyal customers do not enjoy having to spend this kind of money without there being a recall and such. They originally had a program (not recall) in 96 for this, but after 96 they stopped it and yet continued to make the parts the same.
