upon beating the hell outta my car at the track the other day....i cracked my intake manifold....not very shocked at all by this....but where do i go from here?

my question to you guys is.....how is the typhoon intake manifold???? heard alot of good/bad things about it.....

i'm gonna get a blower really soon.....should i just say screw the manifold and get a KB 1.7 L?

or should i get a bullit manifold and buy a vortech and put a procharger intercooler on it???

sorry for all of the questions in my last threads....just really trying to do my car right the first time....and i'm bummed about my intake....

i just wanna make maximum power in the long run and have a very efficient and powerful motor/blower....

thanx guys....:SNSign:

You can buy the 6 PSI KB for 3799...with a bullitt your looking @ about 1100-1300 for EVEYTHING. Then add on te tag for 3700 for the vortec kit, and another $1000 for the IC...thats alot of money to shell out @ one time.

With the KB, you can add the interccoler kit anytime you want.

I went the KB route with the 9psi intercooled unit. I could not see installing
the 6psi and then someday adding the intercooler. I am very happy with
my decision. I found out during the tear down that my intake gasket had
a bad spot near the thermotstat outlet. That explained the coolant smell
I would get now and then. Go KB! You won't be sorry.

everyone that i see with a procharger unit....especially at the dynos where i live....MCNews.....Kauffman's......(just there the other day) only puts down between 360 and 390....?

Vortechs with a kauffman's tune....(25 miles from my house) especially when adding a procharger intercooler and anderson motorsports boost pipe.....push between 410-460 when leaving the shop.....i'm not getting procharger.....this is between vortech and KB....

is there really that much "lag" between a centri and a roots blower?

also.....i've always wanted to know.....is a V2 more powerful than a V1??? i want the louder of the two....which one is that? the V1 right?

thanx

I wish I had the same problem you do.....oh rats I cracked my intake and have thousands to spend lol
I'd go with the KB in a heartbeat, but thats one mans humble opinion....good luck and let us know what you decided.
