I have a chance to pick up a set of 1.7 pedestal mount roller rockers cheap.

1. What's the difference between pedestal mount and stud mount and which is better?

2. He says its only missing a fulcrum and bolt. where can i purchase these?

3. Do i need anything else? shim kit?

1) stud mount and pedestal mount are dependent on what cylinder heads you've got. Stock heads take pedestal mount. One isn't necessarily better than the other except stud mount is supposed to be stronger than pedestal.

2)perhaps Crane can sell them seperately, or Ford Racing, or even Ford since they were stock on the 93-95 cobras

3)yes, shims are required

I think you have to buy fulcrum's and bolts in packages of at least 8, but Crane does sell the parts seperately.

I had to buy some for my 1.72 rockers and my friend had to also for his 1.7's. The powdered metel fulcrums are junk IMO. Anytime I'm under the valve covers in my car I have the spare fulcrum's ready because there always seems to be one cracked. I'll never use them again. They are garbage IMO.
