Hey,

I was thinking of buying these Crane 1.7 Roller Rockers...

http://www.cranecams.com/?show=browseParts&lvl=3&prt=106&action=partSpec&partNumber=44746-16

I will be using them with gt40s or thumper heads, tmoss lower, and a stock cam so should get .472 lift.

My question is will the stock pushrod length work? Or will I need new ones?

Thanks

New pushrods

Your stockers should work just fine, I would buy the shim kit for pedestal rockers however, so you can set proper "clearance". Unless your heads were shaved excessively, you should have no problems at all. Also, you have to remove the baffle under the oil filler on the right side for clearance.

Wow I guess I was lucky....I used FMS 1.72's with stock heads shaved .020" and used the shim kit. I drove the car from Fl to NJ round trip and put a whole season of autocrossing and another 25K miles on it until I did the E-cam/FMS1.6 RR's and noticed a perfect wear pattern across the tops of my valve stems. Maybe the Crane Cobra style RR's need a longer pushrod...I stand corrected.

Sure hope you are right! I was told I could use my existing push rods with stock heads, Cobra 1.71 RR (Crane) and new valve springs and old lifters.
