Hey y’all.
Weird thing today. Went to start and it cranked just fine, fast and normal but didn’t start.
I put an ignition test light on the coil wire and there was no spark. I looked around and the easy stuff but no obviously winner why. (Shorts, changed ignition wire, distributor cap).
I connected it up to my trickle charger because I cranked on it quite a bit. After about 2-3 mins I figured I’d try one more time. This time it fired right up.
Easy to say that it was the battery, but it was cranking just fine before. I could tell no difference.
So here is my question:
Is there some electronic part that is very picky with a very slight lack of voltage? Or is there an ignition component that becomes very voltage sensitive before a permanent failure?
Thanks,
x
