I my mom had an Explore that I could take the key out and start it, haha. Mine's not that bad. I can't seem to find a thread on this, maybe i'm using the wrong terms. I need to fix my ignition switch. It's not totally worthless but the thing moves pretty sloppily(??). I know how to take it out but need to know if there are pins that need replacing or what. Any suggestion helps.

Get a new lock cylinder and have it rekeyed to your old key.
If it's just the ears that are loose, you can try to repin those onto the cylinder housing but the ears will probably break while doing that.
