ok, i got a new tranny mount and crossmember bushings from energy suspention and i got the old cross member off and replaced the tranny mount, but now that im trying to bolt my crossmember back up, none of the bolt holes line up. i can get only one hole at a time and whenever i get one bolted up the other doesnt line up. anyone have any ideas? anything would be helpful cuz i cant drive my car till i get this bolted back up
I had the same problem when I was putting the crossmember bushings on. I made it a little harder on myself by not taking the exhaust or anything off. It was nothing I couldnt fix with a really BFH
yup, used a crowbar too, also tryed using the floorjack, im pretty much out of ideas. i might just need a new crossmember cuz this one looks kind of bent, but if i can avoid buying a new one, that would be good.
Put a floor jack under the trans and pump it up until the driveline levels out. The tips of the fan blades should clear the fan shroud by 1 " or more when it is level. A long tapered punch will be helpful in aligning the chassis mount holes with the new steel bushing inserts.
