I had to take the 02 sensor out to get to the bolts on the exhaust flange and after I got the 02 out the threads were crossed,I got a new 02 but im scared that ill just ruin the threads on it.anyone know what size tap I would use,I miced the o2 and it is around 0.69 -0.71, is that like 11/16 or are the threads metric?

Buy a spark plug rethreading (tap) tool for the larger size plugs, it's the same size, can't remember the thread size though. The tap will work, I just did mine

I think it is metric. I think I used an 18 mm thread size plug to plug these on an old set of headers. You could try to use the old sensor to chase the threads, but a tap would be much better.

It's an 18mmx1.5 thread, the spark plug rethreading tap will work as P50SC says. I bought the small O2 dedicated tool last week due to its smaller size, easier TWW in cramped areas. GL
