crud on my dipstick

there is a foamy crud on my dipstick and i see it in the tube ther was a little on the end with the oil but the oil is not foamy is this just condensation in the tube or do i need to do some work on the motor it is a 92 lx vert with aod and 168000
miles on it this is the first time i noticed it doesnt smoke or use any oil the water level hasnt dropped is this common for these cars

no it is not common. it appears u may have water in ur oil. check ur head gaskets or have a pro do it.

we get that alot when it starts to get cold. My truck has it right now it's just condensation

thats what i was thinking its not in the oil just draging the dipstick through it
changed the oil last night looks good thanks for the info

I agree with Roland and I see it a lot in small air cooled engines. Just condensation.
