Just installed a 75mm throttle body. I need to adjust the cruise control cable. How's it done?
It won't allow the throttle plate to close, so I left it disconnected for now.

as far as I know there are No adjustments on the cables, maybe you got something hooked-up wrong?

You probably just have the two cables twisted around each other or something. If you need it I can post a pic of what it should look like when I get home tonight.

Nothing's twisted or installed wrong. It's only short by about 1/32 to 1/16 of an inch. Just enough to hold the throttle open a tiny bit. I'm a GM tech, not a nube. Havn't worked on Fords much for a very long time. Except my own.

What brand of throttle body did you get?

The throttle plate was binding, so I had to adjust the stop screw. That got the cruise cable close to where it should be. Then I gave the cable bracket a little "tweek" and all is now good. Thanks for the replies.
