Has anyone actually used the cruise control button for a line lock on an S197 Mustang? I am trying to do this, and I have seen some info saying that you can tie into the tan/orange wire from the clock spring for this. I will be installing a small 2 position rocker switch in the map light console. The switch will arm the cruise control button for use with the line lock, or disarm it for normal cruise control use. From what I can tell, the tan/orange wire should provide a ground when the cruise control on button is pressed. The cruise control buttons are attached to a resistor array though, so I would like to hear from someone who has actually done this so that I know that it will work. If I can make it work, then I would eventually like to integrate this into a 2 step as well...
