I hadn't seen that one, but no, its not the one I saw in the mag. The one I saw was not plastic at all. Course, if you get too aggresive with that part, how will the bottom part of the latch react

i have the same cup holder in black

its good, but it doesnt click close, its easy to install, but sometimes your elbow hits the hard plastic piece where the cup sits, depends on how tall you are i guess and where your used to placing your elbow

I dont like how that top looks on the console. I'd really like someone to fabricate a console trim piece and delete the console and have a cup holder hole there. No companies will fabricate it but, I'm trying to find a single person that will do something like that.

sketched a lil bit... do you want it raised? or like the console delete that keeps it level and low?
of course.. it would be much smoother and not quite so boxy...

Thats pretty cool...it'd have to be up though. Having a place to put your arm is CRUCIAL in this car. I wanna slap people who delete the armrest.

Adam thats perfect yeah I like it up because I have to have an elbow rest. It could be the level style and if you want to use the cup holder you flip the console back. That would be the cleanest looking one. Because I like the padding on the console its nice on the bows.

so ummm... make a wood frame, fleece it and fiberglass it, then bondo and paint it... get some seat foam for the armrest padding... that sounds easy enough... lol

if i ever get really brave... i'll let you know... maybe christmas... or spring break... but if i make it and it turns out well.. i'll just ebay it or something...

Maybe take a factory console panel trim it off past the ashtray and ebrake then fasten it down and have a add on in the back. I would like to keep the factory console then be able to flip the console back towards the back seat. Then in the console panel where the pen holders would be is where the new cup holder would be nice and low. Get what I'm saying?

I know I'm probably going to get grief for this one but, how come somebody doesn't invent a center console piece that has a built in cup holder for a fox? Is it too much to ask to have a cold drink while your cruisin around that isnt in a bottle in the passenger seat? I think the console replacement cupholders or the plug and chug look cheap and dont match the interior design. I want someone to delete the console because I dont need it to hold tapes and mold a cup holder underneath in the console panel underneath the consoles orginal location. I know some of you people have the skills to mold something up with fiberglass, plastic, etc.

Tell me what you people think.

I like mine. One holder for spare change, one for a drink. Hides the broken ash tray door anyways.

66mustang93, the arm rest/console pad you have is tall looking, is that a new one you bought from 50Resto or something? It could be the pic making it seem very tall.

Not sure, it was on the car when I bought it. Think it might be the picture.

Another shot.
