Has anyone made custom door pods for their Mustang? I am getting ready to make some and I think I am going to follow this how-to. Except I want to cover it in vinyl like my door panels and I am going to make the bases the same shape as the speaker grills on my fox-body. Anyone with input, I would like to hear from you.

I'm actually working on a pair for my 92 now.
That was an interesting how-to, with some unique techniques.
I'm doing mine in fiberglass over an mdf base, and it will replace the stock grill and map pocket. Once the fiberglass is strong enough, I'm going to remove the mdf to reduce the weight. I will cover the entire piece in vinyl and dye to match the door.
I'll try to post some pics as this project moves along. Cold weather and a busy schedule have me stuck at about the halfway point.
