This in-line fuel pump just isn't working out. Its loud, sucks air on less then 1/4 tank, and is preventing me from having tail pipes, so it has to go. I'm tried of trying to save a few dollars, just to have to spend it again to do it right later. So I want to go the modern in-tank style. I saw an article in M&F where they installed a custom tank in a 65? Mercury Comet. Does anyone have a tank with an internal fuel pump? Where do you guys suggest I go to either get my current tank retro fitted or get a custom tank built? I also open to other ideas, but like I said I through with the half-assed ziptie method.

I considered a header tank before, but I didn't know you could order direct from Glen. I'm going to email him about a complete turn-key solution.

A header tank and two fuel pumps isn't the cleanest looking setup, and I hope I won't have any clearance issues with the exhaust, but if I save a couple hundred I'll jump in.

Hmmm, I have a 65 vert and have a inline pump and filter for my Holley Commander 950 fuel injection. I have duel 2-1/2 inch exhaust with Tri-Y headers and have no problems with heat or clearance and the tips come out like the GT style.
Or did I not understand the question.

I guess its just the way I installed the system. I have center exits on the mufflers and it would have helped it I had got off-center exits. By the time I was working on the fuel system I just wanted to be done with it, so I wasn't thinking about the exhuast.
