Custom SCT tune...am I paying to much?

Force Performance in Yonkers, NY said they would do a custom SCT tune for my 05 GT as well as install my JLT CAI and give me an XCalibrator 2 for $500. They will tune it on a dyno until they get the Air/Fuel and everything else right as well as get some decent power out of it. I am real new to tunes and wondering if this is a good price or should I shop around elsewhere. Please help.

sounds a little expensive for just tuning. If you are getting the intake and tuner with the tune that is great.

I just got a tune from PSP last night, he is in NY also and I could not be happier.

I already have the CAI. He would be giving me the Xcalibrator 2 with the tune. Where is PSP located? IF he is close I wouldn't mind getting a price so I can compare.

Isn't the Xcal2 like $400 by itself? If so, $100 for a custom tune sounds like a sweet deal.

I have heard all different prices for it. But conservatively I would say it is at least $300 for the unit itself.

Unfortunatly other than talking to the guy I have no real way of knowing how reputable he is and how good a tuner he is. He definatly sounded like he knew his stuff though.

psp is in Port Jeff Station on Long Island. Worth the trip in my opinion

he is well know for tuning Lightning if you want to check him out on f150online.com

If PSP is an option, do it. I've known of Sal's work on Lightnings since 2000, and he's just as good with these new cars.

My tuner says, "Sal is the MAN when it comes to Ford tuning."

Yeah, it's a pretty good price. I got my Dyno Tune from LFP with SCT Xcal 2 and C&L Induction Package for $499.00, installation of C&L Induction Package included.

You mean Andre tuned your car, right? Whose dyno did you use?
