Custom Steering Wheel?

Hey y'all I was wanting this Grant GT steering wheel I saw at Summit, but I realized that in the stock steering wheel, is the airbag and cruise control buttons.

I don't care about removing the airbag, that's fine with me, but what about the cruise control, can those be relocated to somewhere other than steering wheel?

or has anyone put a custom wheel on their car?

Yes get a Grant steering wheel it will look awesome!
I would just go without the airbag and cruise control.
I don't have a custom steering wheel.

i think the steering wheel is a huge part of the personality of the interior...

the racing wheels i've seen don't match with our cars, so the only alternatives i believe are Cobra steering wheels and also the FR500

You could extend the wires from the steering column to the center console or whatever..After all..The cruise control buttons are just switches anyways.

Aftermarket cruise controls could be used also..mount them with the stereo or something..

is there a big deal about removing the airbag, is it gonna blow up in my face trying to remove it or anything?

I have FR500 on my 01 GT. I likeit. Other then it look bit plain...But eally nice feel to it i guess. When you take it to the show, no one can ever tell that you have different steering wheel. thats sucks i tell you

If you leave you battery unhooked for 2 hours the air bag won't go off.

FR500-I have one. Looks and feels great and it uses the stock switches, and air bag. The price isn't too painful either.
