If I were gonna make my own CSB's, what size would should I build them out of, I have lots of 1/2 Flooring laying around, which is much stronger than 1/2 inch plywood, would this flooring material be suitable? Or should i go buy some thinker wood?

3/4 " MDF is what is normally used if going with a wood box, you can get a sheet of it at any hardware store.

And recommended size varies by subwoofer manufacturer; be sure to read the suggestions. (For example, ported boxes must be significantly larger than sealed, and with sealed the more the power the smaller the box). And JC3052 is exactly right about the 3/4" MDF. Good luck.

Go HERE and scroll down to #110 This site has just about everything you need to know about audio stuff.
Use 3/4" and make sure you pre drill your screw holes, MDF will split if you dont.
