I finally started installing my MSD cut to length plug wires.

It is a real bear getting the boot on after crimping the terminal onto the wire.

So far, the best way I have found to get them on is to put a little saliva on the terminal before shoving it into the boot.

What other tricks do you guys use?

I used dielectric grease and a tiny flat head to push my accel wires into place when I did them.

the kit may have come with dielectric grease, but it sat in my trunk for 2-3 years, and the box had fallen apart. i will go to autozone and get some grease.

when i was trying to put them in dry, i could just barely get the wire in, so putting the boot on and then crimping was a no-starter for me. now that i have a strategy for being able to get the boot on more easily, i will try that route again.

on the plus side, i don't think i'll ever go back to pre-made plug wires ever again. i love the way you can make these exactly the length you want.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.
