Cutting oil filler neck?!?!?

I wanted to put a breather cap on my oil filler neck but my strut tower brace is right in the way. Would it be ok to cut the oil filler neck with a pipe cutter down alittle to get the clearance I need? I need the oil filter cap because if I hook up the stock hose (that's on the oil filler neck) to the intake my car idles funky and goes up and down like a roller coaster till it finally cuts off. Right now I have the hose disconnect and hanging and the hole to the intake blocked off.

I dont see any reason wrong with it. Just make sure you have the valve cover off the car when you do it. If you ever want to change later, stockers can be picked up on eaby for pretty cheap.

The only reason that it is that tall is to make it easier to fill. You can hack away or put an old school VC on there if you want.
