Cutting shock towers out (What do i buy to weld in their place

I've seen in some cars that have put in the Mustang 2 front end there are those metal pieces welded in the place of where they were.

I was wonderinng where I can buy them, and what exactly they were called

Heidt's does sell the patches. You can call them and tell them what you need. They are $60/pair plus shipping.

Personally, I would go get some 14-16 guage steel and cut it out myself and save $50.

thats what I did on my 66 and if I had to do it again, Id buy a set... unless you have a bead roller. The rolls really give them some support.
