Hello,
My 92 vortech v3 5.0 randomly died in a parking lot and had a no start cranking condition. I eventually determined that my PCM was fried.
I bought a used "working" A9L PCM from ebay and the car starts now.
But I have a cylinder one misfire. (The exhaust manifold is cold on cyl. 1 and I have fuel spraying out exhaust.)
I hooked up an injector noid light to the injector harness on cylinder one and the light was very bright and barley flickered. Not pulsing like it should.
I put the noid light tester on cylinder 2 injector harness and the light was dim and pulsed in intervals.
I'm lead to believe the PCM I bought has a bad injector driver ground to cylinder 1? Does this sound right?
Or maybe a bad wire to the PCM?
Can someone explain how to test this?
I really appreciate any feedback!!
