Thanks D. Hearne - I realized that I should do a search this morning and I found a thread explaining that most cars have the switch in the trunk on the driver's side. I got one out of a Cougar today. I wasn't sure what it looked like. Fortunately it had "inertia switch" written on it. It is a small black box with two screws and a red reset button on the top (at least this particular one looked like that).

65fastback2+2 - thanks for the information about the dizzy. That is VERY helpful. I've been trying to figure out what to do on this. I haven't been able to find a points distributor or a Duraspark setup yet in a junkyard. I have a pertronix, I think I might try to fit it onto a rebuilt '85 Mustang distributor from the local parts store. I have no idea if that will work, but what the heck, I might as well at least have a look at it. Probably the best solution would be buying an old points dist and shelling out the $35 for the steel gear - then the Pertronix would be guaranteed to work. For now I'm going to think and look a little more.

Ok, I pulled the 6 cylinder and C4 out of the car. Now I found out that the Fox Mustang 302 motor mounts are not compatible with the early style of frame brackets. I found small block V8 motor mounts at the local auto parts store for $13 each. They had them on the shelf.

Also, the frame brackets for a 1970 Mustang 250 I6 are different from a small V8 bracket.
