i'd get the CHP short block (although i haven't seen anyone running their motors)...because i've heard alot of bad stuff about dss lately

i run a chp shortblock. i got it for much less then the 2300 estimate you have, for the pro street fighter version or whatever the hell it was called also.

had it almost a year now and no major problems. i had to tap one of the oil pan bolt threads, other then that it was good.

I imagine those companies are good, but I would go with Rick91GT if i needed an engine built.

Have someone you know or can trust build the engine, i would never buy a s/b my car came w/ a chp s/b and 3k miles on it, with in 3 weeks i had a cracked piston
