CHP 408 Blocks

Hi, so I've heard some good stuff about chp and I was looking on their site at the 408s they have: http://www.coasthigh.com/Assemblies/Ford/ford_408w.htm I was wondering if anyone had any input on the 408 Dominator Longblock, I was wondering how much power this thing would put down, and if it would be ok on the street everyonce in a while on a weekend or something. I was also wondering what kind of differences I should expect if I opt for the short block vs the long block? If anyone has any input on these I would really appreciate it! I'm not necesserily going to buy one of these from CHP, I just want to know what kind of power/price I could expect from a similar build!

CHP is a real good shop. u could also try adperformance.com.

That 408 Dominator looks real good but is this a track motor only because 12:1 is too high comp for the street unless u run race gas all the time.

u s/b able to see 600fwhp and 575fwtq which is about the limit of a stock 351w block.

Bennett Racing has a similar 393/408 that puts out 575fwhp and 540fwtq on pump gas with 11:1 comp but they use a dart Sportmen block good to 1200hp.
