Daily driver or not?

I used my stang as my daily driver for the first 5-6 years that I owned it, but in the last year or so between upgrades and break downs I have come to realize that it is just not practical any more. I bought a 91 escort with 120,000 miles on it and couldnt be happier. That thing gets like 32 mpg. Now if I dont have the time or money to fix the stang or just finish an upgrade I can leave it sit. When its running Ill drive it often just not all the time.

+1.......I recently lost my job due to a plant closing so I will be going back to school (100% free though) anyway I am gonna take some of my severance money and get a commuter to drive the 30 miles a day to college.

Yep, the '92 is my daily driver/road trip car.

Right now my stang is my dd even though its not a 5.0, my old fox I drove daily...reason being, my highway commute to work, I get about 25mpg in my car, my truck wouldnt touch that, but the truck serves its great purpose during the winter when the stang is all warmand covered inside

For me lately it's weather dependant. You see…I've neglected to replace the nitto's out back…and the rain can be a bit to unnerving @ 70 + mph. Also, with my 35 mile (x2) commute, the stang actually get better fuel economy then the damn astro van.

my stang gets most of the driving time, but its raining real bad or theres salt on the roads, the f150 gets the bill.
