If the car is still under the factory warranty then you shouldn't have to pay for a rental. Ford either provides a loaner vehicle, or pays up to $28 a day towards a rental if your SVT vehicle requires repairs which result in the car being down for more than a day.96LaserRedGTS said:Well...I just bought mine a month ago, and it's already made its first visit to the service dept at my local Ford dealer. I don't think that's the case. Whether a dealer wants to participate or not. It is a benefit of owning an SVT vehicle, regardless of what Ford dealership is performing the repairs.96LaserRedGTS said:At participating Ford dealers, yes. Not true. A loaner is part of the SVT package. I,ve had my car at local linclon/merc. dealer to have the rear end sealed and when i mede the appt. they made arrangments with Enterprise to pick me up and had a rental waiting at their lot.Take your owners manual with you (the SVT one) and show them the part about the rental agreement.96LaserRedGTS said:At participating Ford dealers, yes. Uncle Meat said:Wasn't the case for me. The SVT folks I spoke with on the 1-800 number told me there was no problem with me getting service from a non-SVT dealership. The dealership just took the cost of the rental and rolled it into the warranty claim they submitted to SVT.
