Damaged transmission harness

I am doing an AODE to manual swap, so i purchased a transmission harness but it came damaged. The part the juts off the main line, the circular connector the internal metal circle prongs are bent/twisted up. What is this circular connector for and how necessary is it?

are there two identical connectors of which one is dammaged

depending on year model harness you have you will have either 2 or 4 connectors 1 vehicle speed sensor (square plug),1 backup lamp switch( round plug),96+ harness has 2 heated oxygen sensor plugs (round plug). i believe its the back up lamp switch plug thats bad on yours.
