So, the other day the throttle seemed to be sticking. You'd push the clutch in to shift into another gear and you could hear the RPM's wind up a little before taking 3 to 4 seconds to get to idle RPM. I went and bought a new IAC from autozone, to only have the same problem just a little bit better.

Today, I was doing some basic maintenance **** on the car, added some oil, cleaned out the K&N and cleaned the throttle body. I thought maybe cleaning the throttle body would help, but it didn't. Anyhow, I unplugged the IAC and the problem is fixed. It raised the idle a tad, but no more hanging shifts. My question is, what are the dangers of unplugging this thing? I was thinking about leaving it unplugged and just backing off the idle a bit. I have a 70MM BBK Throttle body, and I can't find the damn idle screw either.

Also, should I check the voltage on my TPS? If so, how do I go about doing that. If it's not one thing it's another, eheh.

Thanks in advance,
J.

You will just have no idle control and no idle up for engine warmup.

The idle adjust screw is under the TB by the TB linkage.

Try cleaning the IAB with carb cleaner. If that doesn't work, replace it
