well i ordered a dart block sometime early last month. i canceled the order today because i received an answer of "i have no idea when the blocks will be ready from dart". i ordered the block through adperformance.com. does anyone know who has a 4.000" bore iron eagle block in stock? 1 piece rear main seal.

im kind of ticked off now. i waited soooo long too.

thanks,

8.2"deck/2.25"main/4" or 4.125" ?

You might be able to find one with the larger,4.125" bore.

They both need finished,so might as well get some more cubes and let the heads breath a little more.

Of course,if you cant find either one...then you will just have to wait.

I forget,I think our block took about 3 weeks to get here. The real thing is making sure you got someone that will keep on pestering them to get your block, then they tend to show up faster, lol.

I doubt that was the exact wording from Brian but DART does the blocks in batches and then they machine and ship them. I have waited 1 week and I have waited 3 months, Brian is one of the largest dist of the DART blocks, I think you jumped the gun cancelling that order. I work with a lot of guys in this industry and Brian is a guy I can count on.....

Waiting for parts in this industry is really a standard when you get into the race stuff. It is too hard to stock everything, and manufactors are not always the best at given a "concrete" ship date, and even then things change. Do I hate waiting for parts, yeah but it happens. I quote motors 4 weeks after reciept of parts to give me some time for those instances and I try my best to relay any issues to the customer. Some are understanding, some aren't but I won't do anything sub standard.

Let me see if I can get one....would you be interested in a World Man-O-War????

Not to add insult to injury here but when I initially talked to Rick about getting a Dart he told me about possible lengthy time in getting the block. So I ordered it. I don't remember exactly how long it took to get but was some weeks. Now it sits holding his shop floor down for when I'm ready for him to begin my build.

Chris,

Unfortunately DART produces the blocks in batches, so we'll go from good supply to supply from our inventory to times where we're waiting on the next batch. Race parts aren't mass air meters, sometimes they take a little bit of time and most sources don't have 20 of them sitting around.

I had two 8.2/4.0 blocks here, 1 was used for a build and the other was shipped to a thief in FL in the first two weeks of November. The block that was paid for with fraudulent funds was actually recovered yesterday so if you're dying for a block I can have it shipped instead of returning it here.

As was stated above they do have the 4.125" bore but if I recall that wasn't an option for you.

If you want to pay about $300 more then you might find one at a local warehouse (Heck, I could do an iron eagle for that immediately) but anyone who gets one from DART will be behind the 6+ that I have ordered.

I'm sorry that things weren't available as soon as you, and I, would have hoped but short of paying more $ we're the LARGEST SBF Sportsman dealer in the world and will work on getting you a block as soon as we can.

honestly, i didn't mean to come off like i was complaining. i was just looking for an alternate source to buy the block. i had $1900 tied up in a block that i had no idea when i was going to get. it's not like i dont want to order from Brian, but rather just looking to see if anyone had any currently in stock.

originall i had wanted to go with the bigger bore, but im pretty sure my emissions would be off the charts with what i want to do.

Brian, when you do get those blocks in, give me a call or shoot me an e-mail, please.

once again, this thread was not made to complain/bash anyone.

sorry if it seemed like that...
