dash board 65 coupe

has anyone one removed a dashbord in a 65 coupe i need to remove one for painting the dash , is hard and what does it intake of thanks

this is a copy,, sorry

The dash is welded in place, removal is difficult at best. Only the lower half is seen, (dash pad hides the top) so I would paint it in place. That's what I did on my 65 convert.

my info isn't 65-specific, but here's what it says in my Haynes.

1) remove right and left lower-end mouldings for access to the attachment screws at the lower ends ofthe padd.

2) remove the three screws at the top innner edge of the pad to pad support, the two screws at the right and left lower pad end to instrument panel, and the two lower center pad to instrument panel screws.

3) discounnect the clock and courtesy light wiring (if fitted) and remove the pad and retainer assy.

4) installation is the reverse of the removal.
