Bought a 99 Mustang GT. Previous owner Miss wired the stereo and caught the dash harness on fire. It didn't do a lot of damage but enough for the harness needs replaced. And AC controls. The dash is not damaged at all. What year can I get a Dash harness out of? Can it come out of a V6 or does it have to be a GT? I looked on eBay and I seen some conflicting information some harnesses say they'll fit a 99 to 2000 and other people selling harnesses say 99 to 04. I need to know so when I go to the Salvage tomorrow I can pull the right harness and if it's 99 to 04 it makes it that much easier to find.

I would not think that a 2001+ would be an exact "plug and play" for a 1999-2000. There are slight differences. So best to stick to 1999-2000.

Expect issues with the radio part of the harness. Prob best to match the type of radio so there's no differences in wiring. If the original car had a high end radio that may limit the V6's that might work.

Try searching car-part.com.

At the local Salvage I can pick one up for $30. My does have the 460 audio. There's about 10 or 11 Mustangs out there according to their site but they don't list if they're GT or not I guess I can attempt a V6 harness I don't see why it wouldn't work it's just a dash harness as long as it's 460 audio like you said. I checked out the site you posted and it's a bit pricey I'll use that as a last resort if they don't have it local.
