I got it running and everything now but at night time when i turn on my parking lights my dashhlights wont come on, also for some reason the turn signals lights on the dash are on all the time but blink when i use the signal and the highbeam is on unless i use the highbeams and it goes off. Pretty strange stuff but its bothering me.

DK about the signals or highbeam indicator but maybe related: there is a connector on the back of the instrument panel that the contacts got dulled on mine when my dash lights went out. It was the connector on the right side of the panel when you pull the gauge cluster out. The contacts are pretty sketchy. Thin metal on a plastic card type piece. A little scuffing and bingo...all lit up.

make sure your dimmer is on.

ISO fuse alright? (it's fuse 13, IIRC).

I had the same problem, the fuse kept blowing because of a short in the firewall, electrical tape worked well

My dimmer switch was off, BUT if my parking lights are off then my dash lights are on and if my parking/headlights are on then my dash lights turn off. Pretty frustrating i have no idea how to fix this silly problem. The headlight switch im using is from an 89GT so it has the foglight switch too, my car is a 93 lx so it doesnt have foglights, ill switch back to the 93lx one and see if it cures my problem but seems like a long shot.

on the switch itself, there should be a terminal for the ISO lights and one for parking lights (brown, IIRC). check for whether they are closed or not when the switch is on.

good luck.
