While I have no personal experience with this particular unit I used to have an OBD-II performance reader in my Nissan. It was made by Brockway Engineering which is a small private company and it worked great! that is until my car got broken into and it was stolen just weeks after I got it 
It read engine temp, coolant temp, timing on the spot, had addons for 0-60 timing AFR readings, shift light, etc. etc. warning tho it is distracting!
If it works like my brockway did then yeah it works great
