Krylon 1513

Look into Krylon 1613. It's semi-gloss and it's popular and easy to use. It's also able to easily be touched up.

How's Ewa Beach? I spent 9 years in Hawaii (Coast Guard) from 94-2003. I suppose suburban sprawl has continued and that traffic is still maddening.

I used the Dupli-Color metalic paint. I used 3 coats of color, and then I used their Outdoor clear (4 coats). I let the car sit in the sun last summer and it cured hard as a rock. Here is the pic. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f210/68converted/DoorColor.jpg

the dash is the same color and came out even better as that metal is smooth. The pictures don't do it justice. That piece of crap door panel is getting replaced for a custom unit to match the seats when they get wrapped in light grey "leather".

When doing the doors, use paint stripper with a green scrubby so that you keep the texture. Sand paper will not work. I finished it off with coarse steel wool. The original red oxide primer was still there! amazing; that stuff had to be toxic back in the day
