My car just died while idling last night after running fine earlier in the day. At first, it would start but would sputter and die immediatly. After a while, it wouldn't start at all, just crank. Tried the switch in the trunk and the pump would prime weakly. It got started once and ran like an old truck, it died again after about 30 seconds.

So, now I have no fuel pump prime and it just cranks. Is it the pump, or could I be lucky enough for it to be the relay in the ccrm?

not 100% sure of your problem, but mine did just this..

Somehow after sitting for a while, the pump would not prime.. Wasnt getting voltage to the pump. I checked the fuses and relay, all looked good. I ended up just hardwiring it, and bypassing the stock wiring. Who knows, but it worked for me.

Just talked to a guy who said it was very likely that the pump is dead, since it was getting power but not working. I just placed an order for a Summit 190lph, since I'll have to do it eventually in any case. Hopefully, that'll fix it. If not, the other stuff gets checked.

Thanks for the input.

I guess I'll be borrowing cars all week-end. :bang:
At least I won't have to put gas in it.
