DEAD! (Where has 94/95 talk gone?)

I liked the seats but I was more distracted by the red car/black top paint scheme you have since I've been thinking I will do the same for mine.

I do think the 94-95 fan base might be shrinking. There are so many new cars coming out that are much 'easier' (i.e. come fast from the factory) that people are moving to instead. Parts support for us seems to be kind of crappy too, so as the mileage racks up, it becomes less and less worth maintaining.

It could also be that people have slowed down big time on their spending in the past year or two so there's a lot less modding action going on.

Yeah, all of my co-workers tell me I'm crazy for spending all this money when the economy is in this state?

The way I see it.. I work for the government and my paycheck is guaranteed and never changes except on the 1st of the year when I get my 3.9% pay increase. Other people are having to sell parts at cheap prices because they need the cash. I look at this as an opportunity to seize all the 5.0 parts! ALL OF THEM!! MINE~!!!

agreed...........there are some sick deals on parts right now, really good time to snag a few things :nice:

It's an easy guess that the economy has people selling their Stangs or just garaging them for a while. All Stangs guzzle gas when the pedal hits the floor, and it SO hard not to do that! I'm trying to finish my Cobra conversion, but I keep getting distracted by other things.

I will be FINALLY getting my LC1 bungs installed this weekend. I have only had the LC1 for a tad over a year now. Tied up a few loose ends with the car last month getting it all 100% legal.

Then I got laid off but had a good idea I may get brought back...I wanted to make 100% sure I had the new job before I went further. I basically put things on hold and just drove the mustang a bit since gas is cheaper and the weather is ok.

Other than seats and replace the shocks/struts the rest I ever plan to do is more big ticket items that will take some time to fund. I want a g-force/astro gear set for the t5, a new paint job since the factory one is going south, and build a 31 spline 8.8. That is $3,500-5k for 3 things...might be a while.

Everything is doom and gloom and winter is creeping up on a lot of us putting things on the changeover from driving to BS'ing season.

I bought a motorcycle, so that captured a lot of my attention until it started getting cold. Plus, my needed mods (new tranny) are spendy enough that it is taking me some time to save up funds. I do lurk a lot and add to threads where my opinion isnt completely useless...

I had some money and other issues come up and the 'stang had to go (wasn't the most important thing). But, since then my brother and I have installed long tube echaust, upper/lower rear control arms, sway bar and lowering springs on his 90 LX. I think I've go the 'bug' again and if a good deal comes up on a 'stang, who knows...

I do know that the 94-95 isn't near as big. I just got into mine after being a fox body freak for the longest time. I could barely find one. The only one I found was 6k and it was a piece of junk. SO they are getting harder to find reasonably. Look on corral, the 94-98 section I see more 4.6s then 5.0s

Haven't done anything to mine in 2-3 years. When I'm done building my 62' I'll probably be more interested in my stang again and do some more stuff to it. The 62's soaked up most my money (what little I have) and interest lately. Seems to me like it slowed down in here when a lot of people got other cars to play with. This is still the best section...:SNSign:

i think it will pick up with winter looming over. it tends to keep people talking and dreaming more so than in the summer as people are driving.

i have a bunch of parts just sitting waiting to go on, but when it comes to new parts, i keep an eye out, but i'm not going to buy stuff on a whim any more. its all planning and waiting for the rock bottom dollar before i part with my cash.

EDIT: also been trying to get more into cheaper hobbys. instead of scouring the net for stang parts, i've been zoning out with the PS3 or catching up on my reading.

I'll become a daddy in January, so in the meantime I've been "modding" the baby's room.

Busy schedule and whatnot get in the way too, but weekends are for the stang. No matter what, the stang gets driven regularly for some fun.

I think gas prices and the economy overall has to be hurting a lot of folks, but it will pick up soon.
