So my dealer says I can't use X-plan or AutonationDirect pricing on a Boss or Shelby. Anyone else heard that? As far I could see previously, you could definitely use the AutonationDirect on the Shelby, so I think that's false. But I'm just looking for confirmation.

Yea, I was told by multiple dealers over the past few years that I couldn't use A-Plan on a Shelby. One dealer said that FMC didn't offer A-Plan (I assume X-Plan too) on the Shelby. I would imagine that would be the same with the Boss.

I think my X-Plan paperwork specifically said that you could not use it on the GT500. From talking to the dealers in my area, Allowing you to use X-Plan at all is at their discretion. With their limited allocations they have no reason to sell a Boss at anything less than MSRP.

They won't do it on the new Explorer either.

My dealer was nice , he gave me 500 under Xplan on my GT , plus the other incentive and $700 over Kelly on my 10 yr old F-150 ..

They don't have to sell to you at MSRP. They can charge all they can get away with.

Well the good thing about the AutonationDirect pricing is it's guaranteed to be x% below MSRP, regardless of the options you get. But they're saying they won't 'allow' it, at least that's how I'm interpreting it.

no A or X plan on anything SVT or Shelby. Its a Company thing, not dealer rules.

Well over at the Fordpartner site, it says it's up to the dealer. Copied and pasted from the site:

10. Are SVT vehicles eligible?

Yes. However the Plan program is voluntary at participating dealerships. (see below).

However, elsewhere it says:
The 2011 Mustang Shelby GT500 is not eligible for purchase or lease utilizing the AXZD Vehicle Purchase Plans. Please check with your local dealer for further details.

But the Shelby is technically SVT or at least I'd make the case it is to use the program.
