Help guys: I got sick of waiting for my Windveil Blue GT to come and started calling dealers in other states. I called a dealer in Texas who will ship to San Diego on their nickle, and still beat sticker by $1,000.

Now the rub: I can't get my Windveil Blue. Just Mineral Grey. Its got all the goodies, including the parchment leather I want but its mineral grey. Help me make this decision? Should I go for it. I did not want the mineral grey before (actually have a truck that color now), but its a living breathing, below sticker GT delivered to my door in San Diego. Those of you in California know what I am talking about. HELP. I kind of like the mineral grey. HELP. I need to call them tomorrow morning.

Best, L.L.

I think it boils down to this: If the deal is so good that you can live with the mineral gray, then go for it. Otherwise, wait for what you want. None of us can make that decision for you. You'll just have to reason it out for yourself. I'm sorry if that doesn't help you but it's the best I can do for you.

Keep calling around. There is a Windvail on Ebay with IUP. Call them and see if they will negotiate. I also found a Redfire this way. They offered to sell me AT invoice. BUT my dealer I have an order with would not return my deposit.

Seems bidding for GTs on Ebay has almost come to a stop.

Personally, I like the grey better than the blue, especially when it's shiny and clean. Wouldn't it look cool with silver stripes? Either way, as it's been pointed out, it's your choice, and you'll have to live with it. How will you feel a year later? That's how I try to make my decisions, how I'd feel about it later. That's why I'm waiting for a GT or even a Boss/Mach 1, instead of getting a V6 right now.

Yes. That's how I found the dealer that has the MG one. He has a bunch of others but they are all manual, which I don't want. What dealer was doing invoice with the red one? I think I have talked myself out of the MG because it is such a modern color, and I want a retro feel to mine.

If anybody is interested, I just got an email from Perry Ford in San Diego that they have guess what? A mineral grey auto GT for MSRP. Figures, when it rains it poors. Thanks, L.L.

The dealer is Robinson Ehret Ford. They are in South Dakota. Although I dont think they have anymore GT's. Call and ask for Jamie 605-665-3765. Tell her Bill sent you. If no luck there, keep looking at the Midwestern States. Nobody is buying up there right now and you can probably get a good deal. Have you noticed most of the ebay sales are from the Midwest? Thats why, cold and snow = NO sales.

Not really, I was quoted Invoice(South Dakota) and my buddy just bought one this week at $800 under MSRP(Illinois). Got to look in the smaller towns. Stay away from the big citys.

I just saw a Mineral Grey at the dealer today. I just saw a Windveil Blue at the other dealer yesterday. Truth. The Mineral Grey is twice the look of the Windveil Blue. Absolutely. Windveil Blue is not what you think it is. It's not like the 1970 Camarro SS Blue. It's just drab.
The Mineral Grey, on the other hand, isn't grey. It's really sharp. Really Sharp.
Get the Mineral grey before it's too late. Too late. Too Late.

Thanks for the help. The dealer in Texas says they have another shipment coming in next week and may offer the same financial deal. We will see what colors they have then. I love the mineral grey, and have it on my truck now. I just don't wan't it on my mystical trip ride intot the sixties. Still like W.B., but also thinking about one of those come kill me colors too. Actually told the gal I would consider torch red too! Oh my God, I think I'm starting to go insane from this process. Best, L.L.

Spend the extra days/weeks(?) to get the color you really want! That is the best advice I can give.

BTW, I love the Mineral Grey!

I know its crazy making. The longer I wait, the more I want the studly colors like black or red. I even considered yellow.. There is a screaming deal on a yellow one on ebay right now. Anyway, perhaps its good that you don't buy the first one you see. Hey, does that refire have any pink in it, or is it more of a burgundy? Some pics make it look kind of pink.

Well, until I get one of my own, I will just keep playing that drive off video in the gallery section. Gives me bumps. Take care and M.C. L.L.

I changed mine from Lime Metalic w/tan interior to Silver Satin w/red interior. I think that will be more than beautiful, but after seeing the Mineral Grey Metallic, I'm not sure, again. I saw the Mineral Grey Metallic without the interior upgrade pagkage, just black leather. Boy, talk about masculine. It just is plain threatening, without having to scream. It is the best.

When you don't get the interior upgrade package with the brushed aluminium dash you do get chrome bezels on the vents. That's all you need. It just looks great.
