Hey everyone, I just snagged an awesome deal on a complete 9 inch from a 72 Ranchero GT. The axle tag reads :
WEB-AG 2BB (or 288)
3.00 9 841A
And the pumpkin reads : 2A25 (atleast what I can read so far)
If someone could decode this, other than the 3.00 gears which is obvious I would appreciate it.
And also, I want to put this in a 67 mustang, but I measured it out to be 61.25 inches while the stock one appears to be around 59.25 inches. My question is, do I have to have the rear end cut to make it fit, or can I buy a special type offset wheel to make it work. I just cant justifying paying like $300 to get 1 inch off each side removed???
Also, The car is tubbed, so I would like to run a pretty wide tire. So could I just get some special 12-14 inch tire fit this rear end thats a tad too long??
Sorry if its a stupid question, pretty much learnign as i go!
Marc
