I am in some deep ****. I might lose my license. Here's what happened.
I am on my way to work this morning. It's about 8:45 am, the sun is finally out, i have the top down, and the traffic is light. I'm cruising about 70 or so on the highway turning 2000 rpm, which is about the same speed as most people, maybe a few mph higher.
So the lane in front of me opens up and I decide to step on it a little ... so I go to maybe 1/2 or 2/3 throttle. Well, in about 5 seconds, the car went from 2000 rpm to 2500 rpm, which translates to going from 70 to 90. I have 3.27 gears.
Of course, there just so happened to be a police officer coming onto the highway right then ...
Ticket for 87 mph in a 55 mph zone, $290, 5 points.
Before this, I had like 6-7 points from a couple speeding tickets over the last 2 years and the car accident I was in in January that was my fault. So I could lose my license.
I am starting to think this car is too fast for the street. At least too fast FOR ME on the street. It was way too easy to go way too fast. If I ever took the car up to only 3000 rpm in 4th, I would be going like 110. And that would be so easy to do it's almost scary. 4000 rpm would be insane.
In the words of Daughtry, "be careful what you wish for cause you just might get it all, and then some you don't want."
I am seriously considering handing in the tags on Monday and selling the car.
