I have deleted my Smog pump so far. Tomorrow i am going to plug up the holes in the rear of the cylinder heads. As far as the vaccum lines go, do i just cut them all out? Do I need any? I have no idea when it comes to this stuff.

Now with the EGR, Can i delete the EGR spacer plate and replace it with a non EGR plate? And just cut the hoses out? Im going to be using a different carb and intake, but thats a few months down the road. just trying to drive the thing lol.

Thanks guys!

Its all rather simple buy an egr delete plate or make one i cut a plate out of sheet metal and bolted it in place with some washers. The tubes can be removed and plug em.. follow the vac line from the egr and remove the vaccum going to the two canisters on the passenger side strut tower. you will see a vac t on the fire wall above the canisters it serves to send vac to the interior of the car for the A/C doors, leave it hooked up. Follow the vac lines from the canisters and plug the line at the manifold. Check lines at the vac tree on the driver side and make sure you didnt forget to plug anything you unhooked.... Dont cut any of the vac lines and be careful not to break them. If you use it as a daily driver youll notice a drop in fuel milage. thats about all you gain. You are also going to **** off the ecu, expect a check engine light. I had a tune burned for my car when i deleted it all so the ecu doesnt care. I wish i had left mine in i dropped 2 mpg from the delete.

What carb and intake are you going with? Depending on the setup you will not need any of that at all. I ran a edelbrock rpm air gap and a edelbrock carb, just bolted it straight to the intake. Since I was carb I narrowed down most all of the vacuum lines to, PCV, Distributor, cruise(if you have it) and brake booster. Should be easy to figure out with all of it narrowed.

If you are looking to buy a block off plate and a simulator for the wire harness regarding the EGR, then check out rjminjection.com. Hope that helps.
