I have been hearing on other boards and from other people that they either love their demon or they have had nothing but trouble from them. I think I may have found the problem?? I did read on another board one time about somebody that had some junk in the jet wells. My friend just bought a new 850 from them and I told him lets just check the jet wells for junk. We started taking it apart and WOW was it full of crap. Whole thing was just full of aluminum chips from machining. We cleaned it out and it should be fine now but I couldn't beleave it. I am wondering if this is what people are experiencing. Some are fine but some are just bolting it on and all that junk is pluggin stuff up and they are chasing the tune. I think it is a nice piece and I wouldn' hesitate to buy one but I would definatly check the inside. So if you buy one check it! What do you think??

Mine has worked just fine but when I changed the jets I do remember there was a really fine metal dust on the bowl gaskets. Whatever they test them with before shipping might be in there? Mine was still wet when I got it and would pump some milky looking stuff out. Maybe when that dries inside it could cause problems?

i've taken apart all my carbs and found crap in them. my carter (same as an edelbrock), my holley, and my demon.
only problem was that i ran the demon before inspecting. it had an aluminum flashing in the secondary float assembly.
