The Mach was due for a full detail, so I spent last weekend giving her the full treatment. I know most of you detail fanatics stay away from parts store detail products, but honestly, I have great results with Meguiars stuff....

I used the Meguiars Deep crystal 3 step system which includes paint cleaner, polish, & carnuba wax....

Here are the results....

Wow man that just looks stunning! I love the absolute attention to detail. I didnt see one glob or speck of leftover wax on the lenses or stuck between the gaps or anything. After I detail a car I spend another couple hours going over it getting rid of all thoes spots

Also, Meguires is the chiznet! I use their professional series (avaliable at O'Reilis) that comes in the tan containers. I use their swirl and glaze but for my wax I use the Meguires NXG (or is it NXT?) wax. Its the stuff that comes in the black/purple bottle. It is just the deepest gloss wax I have ever seen! I havent used the expensive stuff myself but my buddy that swore by something called Wofgang (or something like that) switched to that Meguires one and says the Meguires shines better and lasts longer. Good enough for me

Also, where did you get thoes COP covers? I am so getting a set!!

Another thing that I have been neglecting is my polished stainless SLP double wall tips. Running around with catless exhaust, & an aggressive tune has left them pretty shabby looking & I dont think i have polished them in months. I spent so much money on those tips because I love the double wall, but neglecting them just leaves them looking like regular bologna cut tips....

I use Mothers Mag & aluminum polish with a microfiber towel....

Here are the results....

Thanks Laser, yes Meguiars is the Chiznit imo too. I use all there stuff from the Car wash, quick detail, wax, polish, u name it, I have tried it.....

As far as the COP covers, they are the Ford GT COP's, & I got em' from BuyFordRacing.com a couple of years ago... They definitely got rid of the dull look of the factory black ones.

1 thing I do like about the 03 Mach 1's that no other Mustang 32V has, are the black powdercoated valve covers. The silver ones dont do it for me, plus they always look like crap after a few years unless u take VERY good care of em.....

I've always wondered, but never asked...

Where does a late model Mach1 owner get an STB to fit behind the shaker?

Why not pick one up?

I have a MM STB waiting for install when the frost lifts. Can't wait to see the difference in body twist.

The only thing with the Mach1 3 point is extra time added for the install below the scoop (nothing really big, but a minor consideration).

Spoken like a true drag racer.
That's one of the first things a cone cutter / road nut looks for.

Great car, mate. Clean indeed.

Thanks...

I think the reason I didnt notice is because the shaker was in the way LOL... The way I did notice was I was looking at the engine bay of my 97 Cobra & I noticed its STB, then looked over at the Mach & said "Hey??? It doesnt have 1" LOL.... The funny thing is, the Mach handled better, & felt stiffer in stock form than the Cobra did with its STB & handling goodies....

I do love to corner carve the Mach though & would love to do some SCCA stuff 1 day. Have u seen the suspension setup I have on the car BTW?

& one day I will finally have my Tq arm installed. Its been sitting in my garage for over a year....

This shot was by accident, but it ended up being pretty cool. My new 3 month old pup Zoe jumped in the way at the last second....

AWESOME Dustin! Great job. I love Meguiars stuff as well. I think half of the results are in the application/etc., not just all in the product. Always love pics of the Mach. Thanks for the background material bro!

What kind of dog is she BTW? Beautiful eyes.
