Whats up guys? Hows the weather in MI? I'm in Seattle right now tryin to finish my degree, but i can't wait to get back out on Woodward. As soon as I get home the GT is gettin blower cams, ported heads and smaller pulley. Goin for 450-475 rwhp with a safe rich tune on the stock short block. Hope my rods don't take a peak through the side of my block, but i've seen this done many times with out any problems. Lidio will get it right!

Detroit got warm last week...81 yesterday.

Put 60 miles on my GT Conv. yesterday. First day it was out since August '09.

Michigan weather has been nice lately

Unfortunately I've been out the mustang scene for years, having sold my 93' back in 2005. I've been helping a couple buddies work on their fox bodies in the mean time and have been lurking on the forums every week. Now that I finally finished my second degree, I plan to order a new five-oh soon

I definitely want to hit some local meets this summer and hit the track a couple times too... hopefully people will post up any events happening in the area.

A cheap topic bump...

I drove to Florida from Detroit two weeks ago and fortunately I was not driving when a 2004 Crimson GT Conv. passed us just north of exit 255, north of Atlanta, Georgia on I-75 South.

The 03/04 Cobra rear spoiler looks sweet. Best looking car in Georgia!

You can find lots of Mustangs/groups at the Downriver Cruise, Telegraph Cruise, Michigan Avenue Cruise.

Search for car shows with the SVT and Shelby people.

To bump this topic back up again...

Did anyone from the D get to the Greenfield Village Old Car Festival (9/11-12)? I managed to get my dad to drive out from St. Joe to see it for the first time. He loved it. All cars from the late 1800s to 1932. Steamers, electrics, and just about every Model T that still runs within 1000 miles of Detroit.

Better late than never with a response...

The Wilson Barn Show (in reference to Ford/Mustangs) was/is (?) one of the best car shows (called "Mustang Memories") in Southeast Michigan - held in Livonia at the corner of Middleblet and West Chicago at the "barn" every year.

Now, a little history - feel free to make corrections BTW - sorry if the following is confusing:

The Mustang Owners Club of Southeastern Michigan used to hold their annual "Mustang Memories" car show at The Wilson Barn for a loooooooong number of years. The Mustang Memories car show at the Barn was a HUGE Ford and Mustang enthusiast summer event. It was THE summer show to attend (IMHO, of course).

At some point in time, however, the "Mustang Memories" car show changed venues (several locations, actually) during the past few years. So, the "Barn Show" was never what it used to be (no offense) - there's still car shows held at the Barn by other clubs, but nothing like the ones put on by the Mustang Owners Club of Southeastern Michigan (my personal opinion).

The "Mustang Memories" car show is now held at a different venue (Ford World HQ this year I believe). You can read more about the Mustang Owners Club of Southeastern Michigan at their website ( Mustang Owners Club of Southeastern Michigan ) & the upcoming "Mustang Memories" car show, slated to be held in August at Ford World HQ in Dearborn.

To recap, the "Mustang Memories" car show used to be held at the Barn. But then "Mustang Memories" left the Barn venue and has changed locations several times over the years. But, the Barn still hosts car shows (just not the "Mustang Memories" car show LOL).

Make sense?

Again, no offense to the Barn, the other car shows held at the Barn, or the Mustang Memories car show either - again, just one fan's take on the matter.

fall get togheter????

any place or gathering at all this fall in michigan that have lots of stangs? I have 2 fox's I would love to get them out and meet some people! I am in the lansing MI area!!!! Woodward was going to be great but they cancled it due to weather!!!!

I am also looking for a mustang meet to bring my Mach 1 too. Maybe we can get some Detroit/ SE Michigan members together before it starts getting cold. Like maybe in Novi at BW3's? Just putting it out there to see if anyone is interested.

I think so too!! I guess with two people it would be easier to get a seat at b-Dubs. Lol. I can't believe this is the "motor city" and this thread is so inactive. Oh well. I could ease on over and see if the "bow tie" boys are doing anything in the near future.

Over the middle of the shot, just above the road, you can see Comerica Tower in downtown Detroit.
