Detroit Locker Question

It is common with a Detroit locker to not have both wheels spin at the same speed? I have my car on jacks and noticed they both don't spin foward when they are manually turned by hand. When I start the car one wheel moves faster then the other. I might have adjusted the drums too much on one side though..

If the wheels spin opposite, thats a Limited Slip............

Well they both spin in the sane direction, but at different speeds...

Is it an automatic locker?

If its a Detroit Automatic, yes the wheels can spin at different speeds. They just wont spin slower that the carrier itself.

FYI - If you have a real locker, it may make extremely loud banging sounds in a turn. if it does, it is a locker and is functioning PROPERLY, lol. if it does NOT, it is most likely just some other type of posi unit.
