Detroit Speedworks Intake

Is anyone here familiar with the Detroit Speedworks PI intake kit? Here's the link... http://www.detroitspeedworks.com/piintake.htm
What i really want to know is if anyone here would suggest it as a good PI replacement? Should i consider investing in this, or maybe something else such as the new trickflow about to come out? any suggestions welcomed. thanks.

Are you switching from an npi to pi intake?
If so then I guess. But I helped a buddy do his and we didn't use any adapter's. Just some good old fashion RTV.

yeah.. non-pi to pi. but i just wanted to know if it would be worth it or just wait for the new trickflow?

it includes adapter plates and shaved intake plus install parts...its over priced but its a nice upgrade over the npi.

oh thanks. I agree about the over priceing but YEAH definatly an upgrade over stock npi.

I was wondering the same about this PI intake adapter kit.
Did anyone here install this kit before? Did you have to bend
the EGR tube to make it fit? When installing a intake manifold
on a 4.6L 2V do you have to take off the water pump to remove
and replace the intake manifold?

1. EGR tube did not need to be bent, just need to maneuver underneath it to sit the intake down.
2. WP does not need to be removed

so stanggt97, im assuming that you have this intake.. so do you like it, was the install hard, and have you had any problems with it?
