Diablo Chip woes

Got the chip back today, and the car won't even start now. As soon as you crank the car, it barely kicks over, sputters and then dies. It appears the car got flooded after 3 attempts to turn it on. I removed the chip and returned the computer to stock setting. The car took several cranks to kick over which made me a bit nervous at first. After turning on, the car ran the way it did before the install/uninstall of the chip.

I am now pretty much through with trying to tune my car with this chip. It would have been a great solution had it worked, however now i'm back to square one. The car does not run well at all as it needs to be tuned, however the tuner i've been referred to charges waaaaaaay too much $ for a dyno-tune, so i'm stuck with a blown Cobra with tons of potential now used as a to/from work vehicle. There is another tuner locally, however now i'm outta funds to play with the car. What to do, what to do?!@@#$@#@

Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with a jms chip and I had to clean the port a couple of times. I really wanted to get my car running right. It still has a rough Idle when cold but doesn't die anymore, but gets close.

thanks,
tom

P.S. What is a good tuner for the 94-95's. When I get my super I will need something to tune it and that chip will not do the trick unless reburned. don't like the idea of a undynoed chip.

thanks,
tom

What the deal with this chip? (I don't know the story) Did you have this custom burnt for you and your setup?

I still vote for recleaning the J3 port. When I installed my TwEECer, I thought I had it cleaned off good enough, but didn't. That silicone coating is a b-i-t-c-h. It's worth a try, after all, it's free. Here's what I did to clean mine -
