The diablo has three tunes 1.factory tune 2.performance tune 3.custom tune. What tune is the best for my mods 1.cnl mass air meter
2.cnl upper intake plenum
3.cnl inlet tube
4.70mm bbk throttle body
5.slp loudmouth catback exhaust
I know the cnl mass air tends to lean the engine out a little that is why i need to know what tune to use. All i what is a little horsepower gain and my shifts to be a little firmer in my automatic. Whatever tune will not lean me out to much so i won't get any detonation is the tune i will use.

I just bought a diablo predator as well, and I believe with your setup you should try the "performance tune". The "factory tune" is just a copy of your stock tune that the predator will make so if you ever choose to go back to your stock tune you can. The "custom tune" is for advanced tuning if you have a setup that warrants it. The performance tune should take care of your shift points, fuel mapping and timing...

Right out of the box, there's shouldn't be a Custom Tune, unless your dealer/tuner put one there based on your specs. The Performance Tune is semi-generic for our cars.

Your items 1-4 might be significant enough to need a custom tune. The semi-generic Performance Tune might need tweaking.

Your best bet is to contact a Predator dealer/tuner. Some will include a custom tune with the Predator. Some will offer tweaking assistance. Prices will vary.

If i took the cnl meter off and put the stock meter back on would that help the lean condition and would the diablo work better that way or could i keep the cnl meter on and just bump up the fuel on the diablo's parameters?

id say try the performance tune w/ the c&l on there and see if u get any detonation, if not then just leave it on, i just tweaked mine till i felt a difference, advanced spark +3 low and high and could feel a little more and had no pinging, havent messed with the fuel yet cuz i dont have access to a broadband to see how lean im running.

I concur. Leave it on and see how it goes. Make only small tweaks. Nothing drastic unless you are sure you're not doing more harm than good.

That's the beauty of the Predator. You can tweak it yourself. Just make sure you know what you're doing. If you're not too sure about tweaking the tune yourself, or your needs exceed what the Predator can do, you can still go to a professional tuner and load the tune they give you. That's pretty cool for a Game-boy machine!
